Inaugural Fall '22 semester features classes in poetry, yoga & dance choreography
Beginning this Fall, the Talking It Out Virtual Arts Festival in support of mental health awareness will host its first semester of the all-new Talking It Out Educational Workshop Series, featuring workshops every Sunday beginning October 9th until November 27th on dance & choreography, poetry, and yoga. Plans are also in the works to introduce workshops in acting, filmmaking & painting in the future.

About Our Teaching Artists
Daelyn Cerruti is a BIPOC and queer dancer, musician, actress, teacher, and artist located in Los Angeles, CA. She is originally from the SF Bay Area, where she trained and performed in musical theatre and dance for 18 years. Daelyn has a BA in Education with a minor in Dance from University of California, Riverside (Class of 2021) and was a competitive dancer growing up before moving into the teaching world after graduating high school in 2019. Much of Daelyn's focus in her craft includes advocating for accessible and equitable arts education. Outside of her time spent working in the performing arts, Daelyn enjoys anything and everything Disney, visual art, and her two adorable dogs (Pirate James & Roxie Hart)!

Daenah Campbell, aka Daethepoet, is a multi-hyphenated artist of Jamaican and Bajan descent, born and raised In Toronto, Canada The Actor Dancer, Poet, and Singer just to name a few of her roles have been mentored through the Ada Slaight foundation by artists such as Mustafa the poet. Over the years she has been featured in productions for companies such as LG, Google, Nike, Venus Gillet, and Uber to name a few, and was most recently commissioned to write a poem in the fall of 2019 for Versace. Dae's work speaks to themes of self-actualization, and the art of creating oneself, her work is often reflective and full of lessons learned and advice. Her intent was never to become a musician; it was to have people listen to her poems. She is passionate about storytelling and Education, having studied public speaking at George Brown college she is well equipped not to be the loudest in the room but to communicate her ideas, thoughts, and feelings effectively. As she continues to develop her sound her priorities will continue to be to lift consciousness, promote honesty and inspire others with her own truth to share their gifts with the world.

Maria fe Picar has been teaching Yoga in the Hatha, Restorative and Chair Yoga styles to Children and Adults for over twelve years. She is a certified 200 RYT hours Yoga instructor and also is certified to teach children through teens. She originally danced professionally in the San Francisco Bay Area studying with Bay Area greats such as Alonzo King, Arturo Fernandez, Cheryl Chaddick and Allan Frias and has recently been working with Coach Art volunteer program teaching children with Physical Disabilities in Art, Jazz Dance and Choreography. She is the Program Manager for the Talking It Out Virtual Arts Festival for the 2022-2023 season.

About the Talking It Out Virtual Arts Festival
An ongoing production of Piccione Arts, the Talking It Out Virtual Arts Festival’s current leadership slate consists of Producing Artistic Director Anthony J. Piccione, Associate Artistic Director Ryan Thornhill, Program Manager Maria fe Picar & Literary Manager Angelo Lorenzo. Founded in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Talking It Out is entering its third season of play presentations - as well as an expanding line-up of additional arts programming - presented online via Zoom. Upon the first live screening of Talking It Out in November 2020, playwright & critic Jan Ewing praised the festival in a review for Hi! Drama for having “drawn from a wide range of ages and genders” and for “detailing the pain and distress encountered not only by those suffering from the various disorders but also those who support them.” Each of the plays is presented by an ensemble of actors from different corners of the world, highlighting various issues of mental health - ranging from anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, dementia, and more.
